Set Up a Meeting PhD, FRSC, CChem
VP and Head of Chemistry, API-PR&D
Dr. Rakeshwar Bandichhor, holds a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Lucknow/University of Regensburg, Germany, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Regensburg, Germany, University of Pennsylvania, and Texas A&M University. He has co-authored more than 170 papers, including patents and book chapters published/accepted in various international journals, and contributed to more than 100 academic conferences national, and international.
Rakeshwar won various awards and honors in his career. In green chemisty, this includes the Roll of Honor Award by Green Chemistry area 2012, the Green Innovation Award 2013 by IGCW-2013. He also won the STE Green Excellence Award in 2019.
In this on-demand webinar, Dr. Rakeshwar Bandichhor, Ph.D., FRSC, CChem VP, and head of chemistry API - PR&D, Dr. Reddy's, shares deep insights on the challenges and opportunities in green chemistry. He will elaborate on the enormous number of opportunities green chemistry is providing in various industries. Besides opportunities, he also discusses the challenges to those who practice green chemistry in industry, education, and research.
Dr. Reddy's has tremendous experience in producing complex APIs and services supporting early market entries. In the first section of the webinar, Rakeshwar explains the complex APIs and services supporting early market entries, technical expertise of peptides, manufacturing equipment, followed by Dr. Reddy's sustainability journey.
The second section of the webinar covers the challenges in green chemistry: current regulations, process change demand requalification, lack of awareness to the implementation of green processes, difficulties in training, commercialization of green technology, global supply chain, and sustainable chemical industry.
The final section includes opportunities and initiatives around sustainability governance, solvent usage, Flow technology, and green chemistry index based on best practices at Dr. Reddys.
